Letters and manuscripts, ca. 1808-ca. 1827.

The collection comprises three letters signed by Jacques Joseph Champollion-Figeac, and two manuscripts. A three-page letter was presumably sent to the editor of the Moniteur universel in Paris, along with a parcel of publications. The professor asks the recipient to insert a note in the Moniteur about a report written by Mr. Jullius for the next session of the Grenoble Academy. He continues to work on his catalogue, and is interested in research about the "Roman de Merlin" (1811 Dec. 12). Another letter concerns a presentation he wants to give at the Société Asiatique (ca. 1824). The third letter was sent to the publisher Firmin Didot frères in Paris, regarding the payment for a colored plate made by Mr. Méliou (ca. 1827 or later).
